B&W demo I did in my pastel class of one of my students. I had students do a detailed B&W to learn depth drawing before starting color.
This was my first successful digital drawing. The original done in class was in pastel.
I was never successful with digital until I got a Cintiq that I could draw on directly.
All my digital work is done with Clip Studio Paint, by far my favorite drawing app, and a Cintiq 22 and now a Cintiq 24 Pro touch.
This early digital drawing was done the same way I worked in Pastel - block in to get overall values, blend to smooth edges and create intermediate values and then final detail.
