Yoo In Na is one of my favorite actresses. She is from South Korea.
This is the first drawing I've done in a long time. Someone I follow keeps popping up new drawings that inspired me to draw again.
I always have a particular goal to get better with each piece.
This time it was to try for clean looking skin tones as well as colorful.
Most paintings I see have very dirty looking skin tones, especially in shadows, so making it as clean looking as possible was the goal.
Partway through I dropped the hand that was in the original photo as I liked the pose better without it.
This was done in Clip Studio Paint using only the Oil Paint brush (about 95-98%), the blur tool , the airbrush tool and the eraser for trimming edges.
If you have seen how I did my earlier drawings, this one was very different for me. Instead of just blocking in large shapes, I blocked in at a much more detailed level, creating a lot of shades by overpainting with the oil paint brush as I went. I still leave all details until the end when I have the overall values and color where I want them.
Rebalanced the color on my Wacom. mid drawing and adjusted the overall color. Hopefully now what I see online will match what I see when I'm drawing.
