Elf 1
An only semi-successful attempt to switch from photos to 3d models so I can set up my own poses and lighting, as models are not currently available. Not near enough detail as you have in photos. Wanted it to be as realistic as possible. Not quite so cartoony as it came out.
Just tried a simple head shot first to see how realistic I could draw without photos, before trying more complex figure poses I want with the elf girls.

First step of blocking in with hard brush
Blocking finished. Used same brush but set to blend so I could over paint.
The two blocking steps are very fast. I want to get the canvas covered, so I can start to see the value and color relationships that need to be corrected.
Adjust rough colors and values with spray tool.
