Elf 3

Another try at an elf face. This time I did a rough freehand sketch from a photo (using Milli Pen) then redrew the sketch's features and face shape to create the character I wanted. I traced a thin lined pencil (Darker Pencil) and then blocked it in (Oil Paint with hardness maxed). After blending (Blend tool) and some color corrections (Airbrush Soft), I finally did the detail drawing (Oil Paint hardness very low and Airbrush Soft).
Trying to make a more realistic elf, I used the photo for initial pose, then redrew as an elf and then used the photo for realistic shading of the face, something I did not get from trying to use a Poser type model to draw from with my first elf. I will keep trying to do both. I want a look more like this one, but to be able to set the pose, lighting and camera angle I want, even though I currently can not use a model.
